Holy Family Parish, Ovid at 510 N Mabbitt Rd, Ovid, MI 48866 US - First Holy Communion

First Holy Eucharist is celebrated with children who are in the second grade at this parish. The children must receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation before they are prepared for First Holy Eucharist. During the class year (September through May) there are several parent meetings to help parents, with the catechist's assistance, prepare their children for these two sacraments. The class year is divided as follows -- September through December consists of preparation for Reconciliation; January through May is preparation for First Holy Eucharist. First Holy Eucharist is normally celebrated on the first Sunday of May.
